Who We Are

The Charlotte Collegiate Institute is a Regional Program under the umbrella of the Institute for Responsible Citizenship.

The Institute for Responsible Citizenship is a two summer development and leadership program located in Washington D.C. In 2016, with the support of the John M. Belk Endowment, the Institute for Responsible Citizenship launched a pilot regional project in Charlotte, North Carolina, which would ultimately be called the "Charlotte Collegiate Institute."

The Charlotte College Institute selects Charlotte’s best and brightest African American male college students to participate in the program.

At the Heart of Leadership

The Charlotte Collegiate Institute (CCI) stands at the crossroads of ambition and achievement. Established under the Institute for Responsible Citizenship, CCI is a beacon for African American male college students in Charlotte.
